Alleged Harasser Questioned: 'But What If I Could Be Madeleine?'
A female charged with pursuing Kate McCann allegedly left her a voicemail message which questioned: "suppose I am Madeleine?"
Julia Wandelt, twenty-four, who a jury heard has persistently claimed she was the vanished Madeleine McCann, and Karen Spragg are standing trial charged with harassing Kate and Gerry McCann from June 2022 and February this year.
On Monday, the tribunal learned call records and evidence obtained from phones recorded Ms Wandelt persistently demanding Madeleine's mother for a biological test over the past two years.
Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - as a three-year-old during a trip in Portugal - is one of the most publicized child disappearance cases and is still unresolved.

A separate phone message, presented in court, documented Ms Wandelt declaring: "I understand I'm overweight and plain like Madeleine had been, but I know what I believe."
While a separate message of Ms Wandelt's monologues with Mrs McCann's voicemail stated: "Suppose there is a tiny probability that I'm her? What then? Is that not significant for you?"
"I am not seeking money, I maintain a existence here in Poland, I simply desire to understand," the message continued.
The panel was advised that via emails, mobile messages and communications, Ms Wandelt requested a biological test, sent early photographs to her phone in a attempt to show a similarity to Mrs McCann's disappeared daughter, and asserted to have "flashbacks" from a youth with the McCanns.
The investigator, an intelligence analyst with law enforcement who collated the information, informed the court there "didn't appear to be any responses" from Mrs McCann.
