FC Barcelona Ready for First Fixture at Partially Completed Camp Nou on Saturday

The club confirmed they will play at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host the Bilbao team in domestic competition two and a half years after they moved out so building work could begin.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators can be present based on approved permits. Once fully finished, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. The club said finished work included a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.

Preparatory Events

Barcelona held a public practice at the Camp Nou on 7 November. They mentioned they are seeking authorization by UEFA for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side in December at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
