The former president's Family Member Receives Expert Tips from Tiger Woods Before LPGA Debut
The rising star has considerable online following
Kai Trump can count on numerous well-known cheerleaders when she starts her first LPGA appearance later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is the granddaughter of Donald Trump, received a special exemption to participate at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, possesses numerous international courses and often matches against his granddaughter.
"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we play competitive games," she mentioned.
The golfer shared that Trump, who won't be present, told her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"He basically suggested to compete and enjoy myself," she continued.
"From my perspective, he's simply a regular grandfather. He's not attending for the tournament. He's occupied with world affairs, making him quite busy."
While still amateur, Kai has competed in just three tournaments recently and holds position 461 in AJGA standings.
Yet she's able to seek guidance from golf legend, romantically involved with Kai's mother.
"He represents the greatest golfer globally," Kai expressed.
"Additionally, he's an even better person. He advised me to go out there, have fun, following whatever happens."
She'll challenge several top competitors in the sport at the Annika, such as second-ranked the champion, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Tournament organizers commented that involving Kai brings golf to wider groups, particularly with youth audiences.
Kai maintains substantial online presence and has started her own apparel and wellness brand.
The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
